The Special Issue of the Journal of Sound and Vibration (JSV) entitled "Recent Advances in Acoustic Black Hole Research" has been published in April 2020. The Guest Editors are Professor Francois Gautier (Universite du Mans, Le Mans, France) and Professor Victor V. Krylov (Loughborough University, UK). The Introduction to this Special Issue and on-line access to all papers can be found in JSV website: https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/journal-of-sound-and-vibration/specialissue/10CWWK6BKQS .

Systematic theoretical and experimental research into Acoustic Black Holes and their applications for damping
structural vibrations and reduction of the associated structure-borne noise has been developed over the last 20-30 years. Now this research area has become popular throughout the world, which is manifested in numerous journal and conference publications. This Special Issue reflects this growing interest. It presents 11 papers written by international experts specifically for this Special Issue of JSV (indicated as "New Papers") and provides references to 29 earlier papers on Acoustic Black Holes also published in JSV (indicated as "Past Papers"). The above information could be useful for specialists in structural vibration damping and for university students studying this and related topics.
